Open Houses & Gardens 2008
Experience Bermudian hospitality at the
annual Open Houses & Gardens event
held each May by the Garden Club of
Bermuda.
Take the opportunity to see inside
private homes and gardens open to the
public for just one afternoon or evening
only.
The event takes place on Wednesdays
for three or four consecutive weeks and
each week a different group of houses
and gardens is open.
Houses are expertly decorated with local
flowers and foliage and Garden Club
members are on hand to guide you
through the homes and gardens and to
offer a cool drink.
The properties are usually within
walking distance although a
complimentary shuttle service is
available for those in need.
This popular event has been running
for more than the past half century
and is attended by both locals and
visitors.
All proceeds are used to sponsor
horticultural scholarships and fund
horticulturally related civic projects.
Price: $30 each afternoon or evening
