After one year of provisional membership, the Membership Committee shall offer full membership to a provisional member who has shown interest in, and made time, to participate in the Club's activities.

Application for Membership Notes

A prospective member must be proposed by an existing member who has completed 2 years of membership in the Garden Club of Bermuda and seconded by two other members. Such a member may only propose one applicant and second two applicants per year.

The completed application must include

The application form (see above) filled out by the applicant .
A letter from the applicant stating why he or she would like to be considered for membership.
A letter of recommendation from the proposer.
Signatures from each of the two seconders.

Although it is the membership committee that makes the final decision, it is the letters from the applicant and the proposer that guide them in their deliberation. The proposer and the two seconders take responsibility for the applicant. Please consider the following questions carefully:

Have the projects and aims of the Garden Club been explained to you and are you genuinly interested in them?
Have you the time and are you prepared to be an active participating member?
Have you been to at least two meetings in the last year as a guest?

The initiation fee of $50.00 and the annual dues of $50.00 are payable on acceptance and should not be included with the completed application which will be forwarded to The Garden Club of Bermuda at P. O. Box HM 1141, Hamilton, Bermuda HM EX by your proposer.
